Weekend in Lorne 15/01/2016

Last year we had a drive along The Great Ocean Road and stopped at a seaside resort called Lorne. We said at the time that we would love to go back so Vic booked us a weekend there. It was absolutely perfect.

Our home for the weekend.

Huge lounge diner,
Lovely sun deck

Lots of local birds looking for a quick snack

There are signs up all over the place telling you not to feed the birds but they are so tame it's hard to ignore them.
We went for a walk from the house one morning and we're lucky enough to see these koalas
This one was in a garden .

This was the veiw from the top of the road.

The beaches just seem to go on for miles.

It was Tom's first trip to the seaside.
  With mummy and grandad

First paddle.

Granddad found a wetsuit and boogie board at the house. After a bit of a struggle to get into the suit he declared himself 'hot to trot' and disappeared into the surf.
He returned after about half an hour, worn out but happy.

It was all too much excitement for Tom, so a snooze in the sun was needed.

It was very hot the next day so we went to the Sea Baths

Vic and Jon took the opportunity to have a few minutes in the spa
The beach at Lorne

First paddle in the pool.
A little bit of tummy time.
