Shoreham Walk April 2015.

We haven't been on a walk for ages. I've got a dicky hip and Malcolm has a dodgy knee so we've tended to do shorter walks. However, Charlotte and Rog have joined a walking group and have asked me to join them so I needed to get some practice in.
I thought I'd picked a reasonably flat walk but it turned out to be a bit more strenuous than we thought. We started off in the valley so it was a bit of trek to get to this high point.
Lots of empty spaces though

Just opposite these fields of rape seed is a massive lavender farm. Unfortunately, it was too early for lavender but this stuff looked amazing.

The river at Shoreham is always lovely but it looked particularly good today as all the greenery around it was so vibrant and fresh.

So tranquil today.

the blue bells were just beginning to make an appearance.

Part of the walk takes you through a field were there are some donkeys. This has got to be the most ugly donkey on the planet!

this one is probably the oldest!
