New Years Eve 2013

As is often the case we spent NYE with our friends affectionally known as " The Centre Parcs Gang"
My turn to host this year. It's quite a long evening so we needed a game or two. I don't have a competitive bone in my body and I particularly don't like games where you have to be quiet, be creative or perform in any way! Jo suggested a team type activity and came up with an activity called The Spaghetti Challenge. Very simple concept, give the teams 10 marshmallows,a handful of uncooked spaghetti and some Sellotape. Then ask them to build a tower that will support, in this case, a golf ball. Tallest tower wins. Simples!

During the meal we gave everyone a 5 minute origami challenge. They were supposed to make a swan, but we had a few dying ducks instead. We also made paper planes but I didn't get a photo of them.
Can you see what it is yet ??

A good effort I think.

Our final little challenge was to wrap a parcel as a pair using one hand each. Val and Med steamed ahead, closely followed by the Joneses

A brilliant evening. Lots of laughter with good friends.Perfect way to end the old year and bring in the new
