While I was with Jo we saw a flyer for a Lego building day. It was being hosted by the local scout group as a fund raiser. We all went along not really knowing what to expect. According to the info there were 800 different sets of Lego to make up as well as a "free style" area. I thought that maybe you had to buy the set first but it was all free. It was absolutely packed when we got there and the main part of the church was rammed with made up Lego.

We were sent round to the church hall where the assembling was taking place. Madelyn chose a dog and some sort of robot thingy to make

the next thing she made was this
After the models were made the scouts took them back into the church and put them on display. You can see the little dog near the front
Here she is with her little robot.
It turns out that all the big models and I guess all the Lego, are owned by two brothers. I tried to talk to one of them about the displays but he was such a grumpy bugger I gave up in the end. I hope the scouts did well out of the day though. They were working really hard ,bless them. An enjoyable way to spend a cold ,wet aftternoon.
