Hot,hot,hot. Melbourne 2016

It is incredibly hot here today. 42 degrees! It was a bit like walking around inside a tumble dryer. We went out for brunch then just chilled out indoors. Too hot to,do anything else.
We have had a lovely couple of days, going on day trips with Vic and Tom while poor old Jon goes to work.
On Saturday we went for a walk along the Yarra river.

It was quite hot and Vic was worried about Tom getting to hot so he had to wear a muslin as an emergency sun hat

Just chillin.
We met Jon for a drink afterwards

But in the end it was all to much

The next day we went to St Kilda. There is a Sunday craft market along the promenade.

It's a real beach resort, lovely sand and resturants and grass areas for those that like the beach but not the sand.

    The city from the beach.

We walked down the pier, which is actually a protected marine park because of a small colony of tiny penguins. Apparently there are usually lots of them hopping around but as it was so hot they were hiding deep in the rocks. You can just about make him out

When we got back it was Christmas Day down under
Jon cooked the turkey on the bbq and we had all the trimmings to go with it, including crackers and silly hats. Although this doesn't look silly it just looks mega cute.
Table all laid
         ,
After dinner games.
