Botanical Gardens.

The botanical gardens are really lovely. The are on the banks  of the Yarra river and fairly near the city centre. It's a bit like Kew, but with lots of separate areas and a couple of big lakes. It's all very ecological and there is a lot of information about the plants and the management of the gardens.

I took loads but this is just a few to give you an idea of what it's like.

Tom loved being outside.

He even had a bit of cheeky nappy free time!

By the lake with Nanna and Grandad.

Wearing, or nearly wearing his new sun hat. A bit better than a muslin.

There is a pub nearby called the Royston. They serve a chicken dish called a Parma. Basically, the biggest chicken fillet you've ever seen covered in cheese, bbq sauce and some herbs, served with chips and red cabbage slaw. Delish.

Tom wasn't too impressed

   Jon enjoyed it though
