A sunny day in Greenwich Park 2/2/2014

Just for once it wasn't raining, so along with the rest of London we set off for Greenwich Park

I could stand and look at those views all day. The skyline has changed a lot over the last 20 odd years and I wish I had some photos to compare.

The Cutty Sark.
The Cutty Sark has now been completely rebuilt. The bottom of boat is now undercover, I can understand why,but it means you can only see the top of the boat from a distance. It also costs £13 to go on board so we gave it a miss.

We had a wander down through the park down to the river.
The Shard dominates the skyline

The whole area around the Cutty Sark has been tarted up now. I think they did it for the Olympics. There is also a lot of building going on so some of the area looks really messy.

On the way back we went into the Old Royal Naval College. Absolutely incredible. All the times we've been to Greenwich and walked past this little gem
These photos don't do it justice.

This one was on the ceiling. They have charts to show you who's who in the paintings. All free.

The ship in a bottle was outside the Maritime Museum.
Some of the buildings had free entry so we are going to go back during the week when it's quieter.
