Swanage

We managed to sneak a few days away in Swanage. The weather was mostly good so we were able to get out and about.

Corfe Castle

We did not go into the Castle, we'd all been before so instead we went to the miniature village . Its a very good copy of Corfe Village but when it came to nappy changing facilities we were surprised to see this. We thought it was a joke at first but there was nowhere else, so Tom had his bum changed in with all the flowerpots!!

Who is this vagabond??

Jon's dad tells a story of how Jon followed him up a ladder and got on to the roof with him.Jon was 2 at the time! Lets hope these are the only rooves Tom gets on to.

The gardens are lovely and have lots of things like this in them. I've done a blog from there before so wont put up any more photos.
After the gardens we went to a pub for lunch. It was probably the most rip off joint in Dorset. So we just had a drink and Vic gave Tom his lunch.

Although there was a bathroom at the cottage Tom rather enjoyed having a bit of "water play" in the sink.
Good job that tap is well secured.

The cottage itself was very childproof so we didn't have to worry about Tom getting into mischief.
 Swanage Bay
With his new best friend Carl
While we were there it was the start of pirate week. Lots of galleons and people dressed as pirates.

Next time he'll be able to paddle. Or dig for black sand ! Phoebe !!!!

Dave's 70th Birthday Party July 2016

We were delighted to be invited to Dave's party. Unfortunately it clashed with Madelyn's "half"birthday party. We just saw some of her friends arriving and then we had to leave. She had lots of lovely presents

Pat made her this gorgeous throw. Would have liked it myself.

Vic , I think you had a fluffy toy like this one.

First visit to the Aldrich clan.

It was a pretty eventful summer. Vic and Tommy came to stay, it was Jo's birthday, we had a few trips away and little baby George came into the world. I've got loads of gorgeous photos so its going to be hard to pick the good ones.

The first thing we had to do was baby proof the house . He looked like a little prisoner!

Jon had to go back to work, which was a shame so he did not get to see the lovely Aldrich clan who all adored Tommy. Most of my gorgeous family.xx
 Phoebe and Tommy
He had a whale of a time

The trampoline was his absolute favourite
 Taking a break
We discovered another use for the kids paddling pool, it was excellent as a playpen for little wriggle pants

Not sure what Nick is up to here, probably feeding him chocolate or maybe a lolly.
