T2. Jan 28/01/15

When we were in Melbourne , Vicky took us to a shop called T2. It was only tiny but was full of every type of tea you could imagine. They had lots of tasters on the go and we had a really lovely time just tasting and looking at all the types of tea. They also had every type of tea making paraphernalia known to man. We bought quite a selection of tea home and now it is nearly all gone. Bad times😟
However, there is a shop in London on the Kings Road. Same set up, just slightly different layout and the china wear was different.
How are you supposed to choose, I couldn't!
Lots to choose from and this is just a tiny selection, camera just couldn't fit it all in !

This is what I bought

I had this one this morning. Last time I had a Melbourne breakfast it was warm and sunny and I was in Melbourne. It wasn't quite the same in a cold bleak London.😢

Abigail's birthday 25/1/2015

We had a lovely afternoon celebrating Abigail's 11th birthday. James and Aimee came over too.
Little Henry clearly loves his cousin William

Lots of love!

Nick cooked us a lovely roast with all the trimmings

Cooked just right.

Instead of a traditional cake we had a selection of mini Victoria sponges. Abigail still blew out some candles though. Only 2, what's going on!

Beautiful birthday girl

Money from Auntie Jo.
She also got some money from James and Aimee. A shopping trip was part of their present so it's off to Bluewater next week.

A very grown up Phoebe

A very smiley Henry.
We all had a lovely afternoon.

Hebden Bridge 20/1/2015

We are spending a few days with Joyce and Colin. We knew it was colder up here but we weren't prepared for snow. We missed a turning from the motorway and ended up going across the moors. We were getting a bit worried as the snow was much thicker up there. The higher we went the narrower the roads got because of the amount of snow. Thankfully, we soon began to drop down to lower levels and it was all gone by the time we arrived at Joyce and Colin's .
We went for a walk on Tuesday to Hardcaslte Crags at Hebden Bridge. The car park was thick ice which made standing up a bit difficult❄️.
The walking path was very slippery in places which made it hard to appreciate the beauty of the place as we were so busy looking at the path and avoiding the really icy rocks.
Braver than me!

                       Lots of little waterfalls

     Lots of snow.

We went for a pub lunch afterwards. We were the only people there! The landlady came over while we were eating and said the person who was looking after the bar wasn't well and had to go home so she was going to " lock us in". Been to a few " lock ins" before but never at 1:30 in the afternoon whilst drinking tea! We could have stayed there all afternoon but as more bad weather is forecast for tonight we reluctantly drank up and came home.

Christmas visits and birthdays.2014-2015.

After we got back from Australia it was full steam ahead to get ready for Christmas. I had done some shopping before we went and as we were going to be with Emma for Christmas Day , I didn't have to worry about food which was brilliant.
As we wouldn't be seeing Jo over Christmas we went up to see them the week before.
We took Madelyn out to the local farm.

It was absolutely freezing but she was totally fascinated by these little guinea pigs. They were doing a lot of squeaking and running around.
There was also the opportunity to have a chat with the big man himself.

Look how big I am Nanna!
We went to watch Andy play in the band and then went to the pub for lunch. I managed to catch this fabulous sunset
All to soon it was time to come home.
A quick unpack and re-pack and we were off to Emma's for Christmas. We went to the Christingle service on Christmas Eve which is always lovely

I'm always relieved when the candle bit is over!

I bought Wills this Tigers hat back from Oz. I think he liked it. He dashed off and found the Tigers ball that Vic had sent him for his birthday.

Christmas Day
Before the kids got up

And after!

As always, Nick did us proud with a fabulous lunch.  The table looked lovely.

We finished off with a spectacular pud.

Lovely Abs on her Christmas chair

Phoebe ,looking far too grown up !!

For the last couple of years we've tried to have a get together at the beginning of the year. It's Malcolm's birthday so it's lovely to be all together for that
This year we had a little mini Christmas as well. We all had birthday and Christmas to exchange.

Madelyn was delighted with her Frozen Dolls.

Laughing at Uncle Nick

Abigail became Madelyn's favourite person. She was like a little shadow all day and Aabigail was lovely with her. So patient, reading and just playing with her

Jo bought Malcolm a game called Ingenious. I think Phoebe really enjoyed it.

My gorgeous grandchildren.

All of us, well almost,Vic is missing!!
A lovely end to the festive season.
