Baby George Celebration Weekend August 2016

So, here he is. Little George Joseph.

He was 3 days old when I took these photos.

Needless to say we were all absolutely delighted. We had arranged to rent a house nearby so that for the first time in years, we could all be together. Goodness knows if we will manage that again, I hope so. We were able to celebrate Jo's birthday and Georges' birth in style.

Everyone got a cuddle with George

 Cousin Phoebe.

Auntie Emma
Granddad

Auntie Vic

And mummy.

The biggest problem I've got   is deciding which photos to use.
I've got loads and I know Emma has already blogged some so I've chosen what I think represents our little family best.

Happiness

Love

Tenderness

Laughter

The future.

The next photos are all of "The Water Fight".I'm not sure exactly how it started but they all  had a whale of a time.

Just a bit wet...

This lovely good natured little boy got absolutely soaked. He made sure that Madelyn got to throw as much water at him as possible. She had the time of her life.
Could he be much wetter?

Apparently he could

Look at that little face. Pure joy.

Finishing him off!

Abs got soaked too

Good shot of the property with Madelyn in full pelt.
What I love about these kids is the way they treat each other. So kind and considerate, they knew Madelyn wouldn't be able to catch them so they deliberately set themselves up so that she got maximum fun without getting too soaked herself, although she did get pretty wet.

Not this year Tom

Or George!

In amongst all the crazy stuff there were some quiet moments. Tommy's first encounter with a dolly.

Madelyn and Tom getting to know each other

Was it something she said?

One of my favourite photos. Tom is paying such attention to Wills. Is he worried that Wills is going to steal Carl, or are they plotting mischief for the years to come. I hope so !!

Uncle Nick, patient as ever, teaching Tom all about the canal.

More cuddles.

Such a beautiful girl. My eldest and youngest grandchildren. I am truly blessed

While we were in Towcester  we had a drive down to the river. We went on a boat trip and stopped for lunch. We saw a few boats go through the locks and later on we walked on down the towpath and the kids were able to help people open the locks.

Tom,as usual, found something to laugh at

There was a really good playground at the property and the kids made good use of it, especially William and Madelyn

Even Tom had a go on the swings

Lots of open space

So this was what we came together to celebrate. A birthday and a birth. Such a special time.

A day in London July 2016

It had to be done, a day in good ol' London Tahn. The weather was stunning and London
looked it's best.

We had a wander past the old Sea Containers House now a poncy hotel,
,

Then we stopped at the Doggets for lunch

                                                             Cheers.

Tom enjoying his first London pub lunch

Further along the South Bank there was a chap making bubbles.

Tom quite enjoyed it but granddad had to move a bit sharpish to avoid them landing on his face.  If you look closely it looks as if he's actually blowing them himself.

So Tom, what do you think, the Thames or the Yarra?

London was alive with bubble"artists" that day. This bloke was near St Paul's

You can just about see Tommy's head!

Only in London!! This was on the "beach" at the South Bank.

 Having a lovely day.

Lovely view down the river with Tower Bridge in the background
