Swanage Part 2

After days of rain the sun shone for just long enough for us to fit in a visit to Corfe Castle miniature village. There were very few people around and we had the place pretty much to ourselves.
The castle.

Into the stocks you vagabonds!!
Looking more like grandad Roy every day.

Dont know why the police box is there. maybe it's Dr Who!!

These huge garden games were a big hit.
Massive connect 4,nearly as big as Wills
The girls gave grandad a run for his money playing with draughts.

Wills spent ages constructing a domino rally type run with these Jenga like blocks

Lots of photo opportunities!

The croquet was a big hit with Phoebe.
Beautiful Phoebe.
Giant dominoes.

There were lots of funny little bits and pieces dotted around the garden.

Can you see the bird?
The fairy Queen
A tiny play house

A few little birds

Before we came home we went out for dinner to the local pub. The land lady is a bit grumpy but the food is good. They have a pub dog that pesters people to play with it by dropping a smelly ball at their feet. However, when people throw the ball for it they get moaned at by the landlady for "stressing out" the dog. We ignored it!

William got a free ice cream with his meal. As you can see it was very blue. Might have to keep that photo for showing his girlfriends when he is older!!

There is a fabulous shop at the bottom of the high street. It is crammed full with so much stuff it takes hours to look round. I let the girls go shopping on their own and they managed to buy a remarkable amount of tat for very little money. Abigail and her haul
Wills with his lloot
Ready to wrap it up again

Phoebe and her haul.
We had a fabulous week despite the weather. I think they all enjoyed it. Maybe we'll go again next year.
