07/10/12 Crete

Great day in Chania. Lovely old town and beautiful harbour. But .... Got pressed into ordering a LARGE beer (see picture) before realising the drink drive limit here is zero! Had to leave it. Got annoyed with myself and neglected to check the bill - which was a rip off. Never mind. On to Stavros, a stunning, small bay, where Zorba the Greek was filmed.

A day out in Crete

A lovely day: Georgioupoli where I had my first (and last) Greek coffee - yuk! : lake Kourna, where there was a lot of activity with kids competing and so on. Made the mistake of feeding the geese with our lunch leftovers! On to Rethimnon. Lovely old town and a fortress. Shame the edge was taken off it by a woman reversing into the side of our rental car.
